Original Drawings
I've had a productive start to the year with focus on original drawings. I love the feel of charcoal on cotton paper and both the process and result is a very satisfying contrast to all fast paced digital action. I have several exhibitions planned too so fingers crossed for a good year. Before christmas I launched several new prints, have a browse and do not hesitate to contact me if you have any questions! You can use the search function in the menu if you're looking for a specific item. Contact me if you want to view originals, pick up or delivery in Fredrikstad, Oslo or Stavanger only. I do not ship original drawings.

Drawing Technique
A lot of my prints are drawn inverted in charcoal and oil based pencils. Then the drawings are photographed, inverted and retouched in Photoshop before printing as high quality art prints. A lot of my drawn prints are made using this technique. Original drawings are also drawn in charcoal and oil based pencil on cotton paper. Graphic works are sketched by hand, then drawn on an iPad, treated on computer and then printed.
Printing Techniques
Most of my graphic art is Screen Printed, hand pulled then signed and numbered. I also make hand carved and printed linoprints on cotton paper, these will vary in color density and detail. Riso prints are printed on an old machine and each print may vary slightly from the online presentation. Some graphic art is also letterpress print on an old Heidelberger press. My drawn art is reproduced as high quality digital prints on Hahnemühle 270g paper. Most of these are in larger editions and they are color correct and will not fade. Some are also open editions. That means there are no specific number sold and they are not numbered.

Commissioned Work
I also make commissioned work through my agent. Over the last 15 years I have worked with many different clients, both large and small. Check out my commercial portfolio at ByHands homepage if you are interested.
