This print is part of my exploration of early century social realism. I am fascinated with traditional male role models and manual labor. The graphic patterns and shapes dissolve up close but from a distance the depiction is clear. Hand printed in a "vintage" black on a mist colored paper (Beige). Screenprinted individually by hand, signed and numbered. The combination of lines and patterns takes inspiration from both pop art and traditional printmaking techniques such as woodcut and etchings. Best viewed full size..
