This print is inspired by early century social realism and my love for manual labour I wanted to create this character that’s strong and sturdy but also has a love for details and the more tactile things in life. The graphic patterns and shapes dissolve up close but from a distance the depiction is clear. Hand printed in a Burgundy color on a mist colored paper (Beige) in a small ltd edition (20). Screenprinted individually by hand, signed and numbered. The combination of lines and patterns is my contemporary interpretation of traditional printmaking techniques such as woodcut and etchings. The combination of color and all the detailed patterns are best viewed full size.
